The knockoff CH340 arduino nano chips (the $2 ones from ali) have never given me issues. What’s weird is I’ve had the opposite experience with Arduinos, which is what these cables are based on btw.
Tbh the CH340 was always very hit or miss. Also known as version '409.1', which many of the ebay cables are labeled as.I guess i’ll just have to wait til my FTDI cable comes. Some modules will fail to connect if you don't do this.Įbay VAG 'KKL' cable will work with VCDS-Lite which is basically the last version of VCDS before they switched to smart cables. You do want to go into the COM Port settings and change the latency from default of 16ms down to 1ms.
